I Do I Do I Do

Abba please...

Come to me beloved.

Surrender.  It does not come easy, at least for me it doesn't.  Why, I don't know.  I read God's word.  I meditate on it.  I put it into action.  I do I do I do.  I wake up and I feel like I have to fight this battle.  The war between the enemy, between my flesh, the grief, the sorrow.  I pray for peace, I pray for joy, I pray for love, I pray for kindness, I pray for patience, I pray for goodness, and I pray for faithfulness.  Then I open my eyes and I fail.  Then I'm off doing and doing again.  I cry for help and God in His absolute faithfulness covers me in His grace and holds my hand through meekness. I mean grabs on to my hand tightly because I am all to willing to let go.  I am tired, I am weary, The burdens I carry are heavy, my tears weigh me down.

Come to me beloved, come to me when you are weary and heavy laden, I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your soul.  Sweet beloved my yoke is easy and my burden is light. (Matthew 11:28-30)

Come. To. Me.

Where are you Father, where are you?

I am with you always, even to the end of age (Matthew 28:20)  I will not leave you as an orphan, I will come to you, the world can no longer see me, but you will see me, because I live, you live,  In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. (John 14:18-20)  I love you beloved, My Father loves you We have come to you, We have made Our abode in you. (John 14:23)

I am reminded of Hebrews 11;

BY FAITH...

Abel offered to God a better sacrifice than Cain through which he obtained testimony that he was righteous.

Enoch was taken up to that he would see death.

Noah, being warned by God about things not yet seen , in reverence prepared an ark for the salvation of His household.

Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance and he went out not knowing where he was going.  He lived as an alien, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob.

Sarah, received the ability to conceive beyond the proper time of life.

All these died in faith, without receiving the promises, but having seen them and having welcomed them from a distance.

By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharoh's daughter, choosing rather to endure ill-treatment with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin.  By faith he left Egypt.  By faith he passed through the Red Sea.

By faith Jericho fell down.

Rahab the harlot did not perish along with those who were disobedient, after she welcomed the spies in peace.

Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephtah, David and Samuel, by faith conquered kingdoms, performed acts of righteousness, obtained promises, shut the mouths of lions, quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, from weakness were made strong, became mighty in way, put foreign armies to flight.

BY FAITH

I come to you.   I believe, when You say that NO temptation, NO test, NO trial has overtaken me, but as is common to man; and You, my God are faithful, you will not allow me to be tempted beyond what I am able, and with temptation You will provide my way of escape, and I will endure it.

On my own this is not possible, but to say it is impossible is to deny the power of Your Spirit that is in me.  It is to say that You can not, but I know that my God can.  My God breathed the word and the stars formed.  My God can shut the mouths of lions.  My God walks in the fire with me.   My God is the perfecter of my faith, and for the JOY set before Him, endured the cross, despising the shame, He has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.  (Hebrews 12:2)

Building myself up on Your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, I will keep myself in the love of God, waiting anxiously for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life. (Jude 20-21)

Now unto Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and not and forever. (Jude 24-25)

No matter what my circumstances, even in the face of the greatest tragedy that any parent will ever experience, my God has not given me anything, that with His Holy Spirit dwelling in me, has or will tempt me beyond what I am able.  If God is for me who then can be against me?

By Faith...tonight, there is no more I do I do I do.  Tonight I am quiet, Tonight I am still because He is God, He is my Savior, and He comes to bring life to the fullest.

Abba, Thank You!
