I Am Only

He is only man, He is only a man.  He can not carry the weight of this family, of his entire family on his back.  He tries, oh Lord he tries so hard, but he is only a man.  He leaves early every morning and returns late every night to put food on our table and clothes on our back.  He pours his heart out to everyone he loves.  He takes the trash out, he mends my broken heart.  He is just a man.  He walks with heavy feet in the deep trenches of grief.  He carries the hurt of so many.  Father please he is just a man.  Please.  His spirit is sweet but the weight of it all is so much.  What man can carry it all?  There is no one, not anyone that walks the earth today that can fix it, that can mend him.  I can't Father, I am too broken, too weak.

My beloved, I am here with you and I am here with your man.  I am nurturing his soil, I am here providing your family with the solid foundation you all will need to stand firm in this storm.  I have not left your side nor have I left His.  He is my beloved son.  My cloak of protection is on you, the comfort you feel in each others arms...that's Me beloved.  Do you trust?

Who are these that come against me Father?  Those that come against my man?  Some days it feels like we take two steps forward only to be five steps behind where we started.  I am only a woman.  The war is dark the fight is exhausting.  I am only a woman.  I give to you my chains of bondage.  I am your child.  You promise freedom in you and freedom from myself.  I am only a woman please Father, keep me at the end of myself so that I never carry on without You.  Father I am only a woman, a ragamuffin, a sinner.  Please keep my sin bitter and tasteless so that is in You that I find my sweetness.  Deliver this woman Father from the chains that hold me to this wretched earth.

It is true that the deliverance will be painful, the enemy will send an army to prevent My will, but keep your anchors firm in My rich soil.  What the enemy intends for harm, for my saints that love Me I will work together for good according to My purpose.  Remember, I am, hold on to My sweet whispers and you will know that I am here and have always been.  When the war is heavy remember that My burden is light.  Find confidence in that many come against you, you are lovingly doing the work of My Kingdom, the enemy cringes at that very thought.  Keep close my daughter, I am here...I always have been.
Your Faithful and True...Always.

I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war.   His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself.    He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God.   The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean.  Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.”[a] He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written:
king of kings and lord of lords
(Revelation 19:11-16)

I trust Father~

  1. Wow, just wow. You touch our souls.

  2. Father in heaven, I come today to beg of you to help my kids and their familys to walk through this tragic storm. I know Your Grace is enough, even though some days it is so dark, they just can't see. You are our only source of comfort, Lord please hold all of us in Your mighty and gentle hands. Father forgive those coming against them. Give Summer and Jeff the grace to forgive them also, for they surley don't know what they are doing. You tell us that the hurt hurt, so Lord I ask for healing in this family. In the name of our Savior Jesus Christ I pray. Amen

  3. The rider is called faithful and True. This passage from Revelation always brings me to tears. To think of all that IS to come. Oh that we may be faithful with what He has for us now! God bless you sweet Summer!

    Beautifully written. Just beautiful.
